MEET DR. CARMINES

Dr. Crystal Carmines, DC specializes in low-force chiropractic techniques. She is Advanced Proficiency rated in the Activator Methods Chiropractic technique which is a safe and gentle alternative to many traditional chiropractic approaches. Many patients who are apprehensive about receiving Chiropractic care are comforted by the gentle individualized methods she uses.

Dr. Carmines attended Life Chiropractic College West, located in the San Francisco Bay area of California, where she graduated as class Salutatorian with Magna Cum Laude honors.

From an early age, Dr. Carmines has been influenced by conditions related to the integrity of the spine and from her own personal experiences she has dedicated her life to learning and teaching others about health and natural healing.

Dr. Carmines began her career in healthcare and natural healing soon after graduating from high school when she attended the Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy and earned her degree and license as a Massage Therapist. She then worked as a Chiropractic Assistant and Massage Therapist in a local chiropractic practice where she gained insight about chiropractic care and became inspired to one day have her own practice.

While working as a massage therapist, Dr. Carmines attended Old Dominion University and graduated in 2006 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Soon after graduating, Dr. Carmines sustained a spinal injury that threatened her own abilities to function normally. She was unable to stand upright, could not walk without assistance, and was in constant excruciating pain. After receiving consistent chiropractic care, Dr. Carmines regained complete function and could stand straight and walk again on her own.

Through enduring this personal experience, Dr. Carmines gained an even greater appreciation for the effectiveness of chiropractic care and she became driven to learn how she could positively affect others and help others to regain their own health using the art, science, and philosophy of Chiropractic.

After earning her degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Carmines returned to her home town of Virginia Beach and is delighted to be able to serve the community where she grew up. She welcomes you to discover your fullest potential here at Carmines Chiropractic.
